Our Mission

Scaly Mountain Crafters is a venue for local artists in Western North Carolina & North Georgia to sell their hand-crafted items with a portion of each purchase dedicated to providing meals for local needs.

About Us

Combining their passion for woodworking and their desire to “Do Something That Matters,” Darren and Michelle Gillett started a retail endeavor in April 2021 with 40 other artists to offer hand-crafted items. There are now over 90 artists that have items in the store.

Here at Scaly Mountain Crafters, we offer numerous classes for every interest and age group. Learn how to turn pens on a lathe, build birdhouses and/or a bat house, or inquire about a custom class today.
